Kyle Gibson has been selected as the sophomore profile for April.
Kyle is currently a participant in FCA, Student Council, and Pep
Club. He was on the Beavers soccer team
(#15!)
and helped them break the all-time
record (since 1994): 141-81-20. His high school goals consist
of making new friends and getting good grades. When asked to give
advice to any and all student body he replied with: Dont be
subject to change be yourself no matter what, and always get
involved in any school activities. Kyles favorite class is
theatre, where he can express his theatrical personality, as he is
quite the entertainer!
As a future career Kyle is planning on becoming
a world history teacher. Why, I have no idea, but I think Id be
good at it. In his free time he enjoys watching sports, playing
sports, and hanging out with friends. As far as personal goals go he
really wants to grow in his relationship with God and get a good
paying part time job.
Teacher Profiles
David Perry

For the month of May, Mr. Perry has been selected as one of the
teacher profiles. He is currently teaching Algebra II and Geometry.
All through school his favorite subject was math, and since his
junior year he has wanted to become a teacher to become a coach.
Once he started teaching he realized how much he enjoyed teaching
more than coaching. The best
part of being a teacher is definitely the summers off and when you
can watch a student learn and understand something. If Mr.
Perry was not a teacher he would like to be a professional golfer.
In his free time he enjoys hunting and golfing.
Sara Casto

For the month of May,
Mrs. Casto has been selected as one of the teacher profiles. She is
currently teaching Health, Phys Ed, and acts as a virtual classroom
facilitator. As a child, Mrs. Casto wanted to be everything from a
princess to a nurse. As she grew older, she wanted to be a police
officer and had thoughts of being a nurse. She decided to become a
teacher because as a kid she did not have a female role model. She
wanted to be able to help teenagers and be that role model that she
never had. In school her favorite subject was music, which has
nothing to do with Health or Phys Ed, but I loved it.
Mrs. Casto says the best part of being a teacher is when you can
watch a student truly excel. When
a student is in fact happy and proud of themselves and you can watch
the light bulb click it is beyond doubt worth it.
If Mrs. Casto was not a
teacher she would enjoy being a nurse. I would still be able to
help people and be around kids.
In her free time, she enjoys kayaking, scuba diving, camping,
reading, spending time with her two year-old son, and getting any
extra sleep possible.
